Alexandria is a beautiful Louisiana city just waiting for you to come and enjoy its history, art and music. Take a moment in your trip to see the Delta Music Museum, the Kent Plantation House and the Alexandria Museum of Art. Let a charter bus take you through this wonderful city!
The Delta Music Museum
One of the most fascinating places to see near Alexandria Louisiana is the Delta Music Museum. While technically in Ferriday, this museum is worth leaving the city for. The museum is located at 218 Louisiana Avenue and is housed in the old U.S. Post Office. The museum focuses on the culture, history and of course the music of the Mississippi Delta. Admission is free and you can visit Monday-Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Go and enjoy aboard an Alexandria charter bus!
The Kent Plantation House
Another beautiful place to see in Alexandria is the Kent Plantation House. The organization offers that the house itself is an example of French colonialism. The land on which the house sits was a land granted from the Spanish king to Pierre Ballio II. The flavor of the plantation is one that mixes French, Spanish and American cultures. You can tour the house, the gardens and the blacksmith's shop. Let a charter bus take you there and see it all!
The Alexandra Museum of Art
If art is your thing, you will not want to leave Alexandria without seeing the Museum of Art. As with most art museums, many of the exhibits change throughout the year.
Still there is a collection of Louisiana contemporary art and the largest collection of North Louisiana folk art in the state. A charter bus will take you there and keep your legs from tiring.
