American Museum of Natural History
This is a museum for the entire family, something for everyone to enjoy. It is one of the biggest museum tickets in town, a must see for persons of all ages! With appreciation for the $210 million Rose Center for Earth and Space, having a four-story-planetarium sphere shows the Space Show "Are We Alone?" It boasts the most technologically advanced sky show around. You will be blown away! Phenomenal from start to finish!
Something else you should see is the Big Bang Theater, it re-creates the theoretical birth of the universe, and has a 15 1/2-ton meteorite. Fantastic Hall of Planet Earth with a look at the geologic processes of our Earth. It takes around 2 hours to see it all in the Rose Center to take in all the center has to offer.
So much to see in this 4 square block building. It hosts the world's finest natural science collection. Having stated it takes around 2 hours to see the Rose Center's offerings, you can spend an entire day here and never see it all!
The whole 4th floor of the museum is devoted to nothing else but dinosaurs. If you only have the time to see one exhibit this is the one!
The museum does wonders with special exhibits, so plan ahead to be sure you see the one or ones that appeal to you most. Such as the Butterfly Conservatory, over 500 exotic butterflies free flying around you as you proceed through the walk-in enclosed housing.
