This is a great place to go to get some interesting background information about the rich history that this awesome seaside resort has had to offer for years and years. You will just love all of the neat facts and information that you will find here at the museum. This is a place that will shed some new light on how such a great entertainment spot came about, as well as give you some information on some of the more famous patrons who have graced the boardwalk over time.
At the museum, you will probably find their permanent exhibition very interesting. It is called, "Atlantic City, Playground of the Nation". Here you can find costumes, photographs, songsheets, souvenirs, artifacts, postcards and a huge selection of Miss America memorabilia on display. Once you walk in and you are greeted by a giant Mr. Peanut, you know that you are in for a really fun experience. For 100 years now, they have even been giving out a Heinz pickle to every guest who enters. Now how about that for a tradition?
While you are visiting, you should really visit the museum gift shop. You will be in the mood for a bit of shopping once you see all of the great items for sale such as books, calendars, artifacts, souvenirs and more.
