Gore Mountain is a year round vacation destination. It offers cross-country and downhill skiing in the winter. Gore Mountain makes 95% of their snow every year. There are over 60 downhill trails just made for cruising. Snowmobiles trails are another activity that brings in tourism in the winter months. Luxurious Lodges and ski resorts are plentiful for accommodations, as well as individual cabins and many of Bed and Breakfast Inns to choose from.
In the summer, tourists come to Gore Mountain for hiking, camping and biking. For the thrill seeker, there are raft rides down the Hudson Valley River. There is a water slide park and also an amusement park to appeal to the younger generation. For the outdoor people, Gore Mountain is great for sailing, golfing, swimming and fishing.
The nearest community to Gore Mountain is the town called North Creek, NY. North Creek is located at the base and just miles from Gore Mountain. Other nearby communities are Bakers Mills, Johnsburg, and Garnet Lake.
In the late summer and early fall, Saratoga Horse racing track brings in allot of spectators to the Adirondack Mountain Range area. Saratoga Springs, located approx. 60 miles from Gore Mountain, is full of restaurants, shopping, and ballet, Jazz and just about anything a person would like to do.
Gore Mountain is a gorgeous, scenic mountain that is surrounded by The Adirondack Mountain Range as well as several little communities. It has something to offer to tourists of all ages.
