Carousel Magic
Do you turn into a child all over again every single time that you see a carousel? Well, if you do, then you are definitely not alone. Many people just completely fall in love with the wonder and whimsy of carousels with all of the beautifully crafted horses, lights and sounds. When you are in the area of Mansfield, you can actually visit a place to find out how some of the carousels get their start.
Carousel Magic, located at 44 West 4th Street is a wonderful place where all of the magic of carousels begins. Here, you will find all kinds of wonderfully interesting things from the crafting of new carousels as well as the complete restoration of older horses and other carousel pieces. You can learn all about the history of the carousel while you can also learn how the carousel is constructed from start to finish.
If you would like to take a tour of Carousel Magic, the cost is only $5 for adults and $1.50 for children ages 5 through 12. All children under the age of 5 are admitted for free. All of the tours take place from 10:00AM until 4:00PM Tuesday through Saturday with the exception of all of the major national holidays.
Do not forget to visit the beautiful Carousel Magic Gift Shop during your visit. This is the place where you can find all kinds of items that are carousel related. You may find that you will want to buy several items for souvenirs as well as gifts for your friends and family back home.
