The Civil War Walk brings you right back to where everything happened in the Charleston area. This is a wonderfully engaging way to learn all about how the Civil War affected Charleston. Once you start off on this walk, you are sure to see why it is one of the most popular things to do in the entire region.
During this Civil War Walk, you are taken around to learn all about the historic sites in the area as well as the people and topics that relate to Charleston and the Civil War. You get all the knowledge and information from a professional tour guide, so you can always get any of your questions answered. Not only do you get to see the many gorgeous structures of the area, you also get to hear all of the great stories behind them.
Just a short list of some of the sites and topics that you will touch on during your Civil War Walk include the South Carolina Militia, Charleston Harbor, Blockade Running and famous Fort Sumter. The walks take place daily at both 10:00 am and 1:00 pm. You want to make sure that you have a comfortable pair of shoes on, as the walk lasts for approximately two hours. The cost is $18 for an adult and $10 for children ages 8 through 14.
