When you are taking your children to Pennsylvania, you really should think about making the trek over to a great place called Explore and More. This is a wonderful hands-on museum experience just for kids located right in Gettysburg. Pretty much everywhere you turn in this wonderful environment you will find great activities that are just perfect for children ranging in age from 3 to 8. But, of course, everyone enjoys a visit here!
Once you walk into the art room, you can almost feel a rush of fun artistic flow. Children are encouraged to dive into glitter, feathers, pipe cleaners and more to experience the creation of their very own original art project. Kids also love to step right up to the easel so that they can paint away just like a famous artist.
The nature area is a special place just dedicated to all of the wonders of the wild. Children can head right in and get an up close and personal look at everything from mice to hermit crabs. This is a truly marvelous way for children and parents alike to learn all about the beautiful creatures and natural elements around us.
Cost of admission to Explore and More is only $6 for children ages 2 through 14 and $4 for adults. You will find the building conveniently located at 20 East High Street in Gettysburg.
