Erie Zoo
The Erie Zoo is a wondrous place to visit. Open year round, and home to over 300 animals, the Zoo also features an extraordinary botanical garden of hundreds of plants and flowers beautifully and gracefully woven into the unique environment. Take plenty of pictures. This is fun and beauty that you can enjoy for many years to come. The Children's Zoo offers the opportunity to experience the Zoo's friendlier animals up close and personal. The Zoo is an excellent provider of animal care, and is very keyed into wildlife issues, conservation, and public education. The American Zoo and Aquarium Association accredit the Erie Zoo. This means that the highest standards of animal care are adhered to.
The price of admission for adults is easy on the wallet, and children under 2 are not charged an admission fee. The prime season for park activities is between March 1st and October 31st. The off -season is between November 1st, and February 28th. This leaves plenty of time in between to experience the wonders of the Erie Zoo. The park opens at 10AM and closes at 5PM. During the summer, you'll have an extra hour before the park closes on Sundays to enjoy all of the sites and activities.
Fifteen acres is a lot of ground to cover. Plan to spend quality time without the thought of rushing through the Zoo. There are numerous refreshment and restroom areas for your family's convenience.
