Florence has a rich history and its richness permeates this town. Everywhere your charter bus group goes, they will find something interesting to see and do.

Charter a stop in your bus at the Florence Symphony Orchestra and take in some beautiful music.Another interesting stop is at the Florence Library, they have an on-going International Film series. The films are shown once a month and you must call ahead if your charter bus group would like to attend.

The Florence Museum has a number of great artwork installations that your charter bus group will enjoy seeing. Both Regional and Internationally known artists.

Take a your charter bus group on a walk into the past. Visit the War Between the States Museum and experience the many artifacts, pictures and stories of a time when our nation was divided. The Civil War was a war between two governments: The United States of America, and The Confederate States of America. Florence played a major part in this war and your charter bus group will see some well preserved artifacts.

Civil War buffs in your charter bus group will thoroughly enjoy this stop along the way. An interesting side stop for your charter bus gang will be the Florence Cemetery, over 2000 unknown soilders are interred here. One of the five "known" interments is Florena Budwin who disguised herself as a man and enlisted in the Union Army in order to follow her husband, who was a Captain from Pennsylvania.

Her husband was killed and Florena was captured. Her identity was finally discovered in the prison stockade at Florence, where she remained to help nurse the prisoners until she became ill and died in January 1865. She is believed to be the first female service member to be buried in a National Cemetery.
