Mexico’s Dia de los Muertos in San Antonio

Talking about death in some parts of the world is considered taboo but not so for Mexicans. Like the Chinese, Mexicans actually celebrate or commemorate death. Instead of looking at the topic of death in a negative light, Mexicans spend time honoring and remembering the people whom they loved but have passed on. They meet at cemeteries and gatherings and sort of celebrate the fact that they are still together and bonded by the love they have for those who have departed.
Some of our San Antonio charter bus rental customers got a chance to participate in the eye-opening rites and rituals that ensued during the 'celebration' recently.
The event is called Dia de los Muertos – a day dedicated to remember the dead. It is not ironic that the celebration happens only a couple of days after Halloween. Although many expected it to be a somewhat somber affair, turns out, it was quite festive instead. There was flowers and candles everywhere. And after the celebration, food and drinks are often served.
If you are heading over with a bunch of your friends (which is a FABULOUS idea), remember to call us for that San Antonio charter bus rental package! We have the best deals, remember that!
