The Miami Design District is fast becoming the mecca of cultural and business exchange and is located on NE Second Avenue and NE 40th Street, Miami, FL. The Miami Design District is located just north of downtown in the center of the Buena Vista neighborhood. The district spans from NE Second Avenue on the east to North Miami Avenue on the west and then from NE 38th Street north to NE 42nd Street. The Miami Design District started out as a trade center for the design trades however in the early 1990s it started to attract artists looking for more affordable locales. The district welcomed an influx of artists from neighborhoods such as South Beach that began setting up shop.
The lure of an affordable and now newly cultured environment attracted many other people as well. Today the design district boasts a wealth of culture as it has many different types of people living in its lovely community. Visitors to Miami will love to experience all that the Miami Design District has to offer in the way of aesthetic and cultural value.
The Miami Design District also has quite a few nationally recognized restaurants. This is another big draw for both visitors and residents alike. The Miami Design District which is located in what is known as Little Haiti is a unique, 18 square block of community design. The district, which only started developing 6 years ago, is progressing rapidly and impressively. It is fast becoming the cultural place to be in the Miami area.
