North Dakota Heritage Center

Besides being a museum the North Dakota Heritage Center is home of the State Archives, with a large variety of newspapers, magazines, manuscripts, photographs, and much more. The Heritage Center also features temporary exhibits, such as the North Dakota Remembers World War II through Nov. 30 2007, which features over 1,200 interviews of War II veterans and has a collection of uniforms, medals, and additional artifacts. Also the Heritage Center hosts the Emigrants from the Empires: North Dakota's Germans through Sept. 3 2006. This exhibits tells the story of Germans in North Dakota before and after World War I and II.
