There are four slabs inscribed with the names of nearly a hundred Houston officers that have died while in the line of duty. In the middle of these four pink granite slabs is a tranquil reflecting pool. A perfect spot for loved ones and well wishers to reflect on the officers and their great courage and sacrifices.
The park area where the memorial stands is a beauty all on its own. This is a great place to go and read a book, play catch with your children, run with your dog, or even sit down for a leisurely picnic in the inviting Houston air. If you feel like getting some exercise, there is even a great walking path nearby.
