Rumi
Rumi
Miami has a number of night clubs for the beautiful people to hang out and this is certainly one of them. Rumi is named after a 12th century Afghan poet and his poems are features around the nightclub.
Rumi is a great place to have a fantastic meal, then hit the upstairs lounge for some dancing and after dinner drinks. Reservations are highly recommended.
Miami has a number of warehouse-size nightclubs, but the new flavor for the restraurants and lounges, so named restro-lounges is fast becoming the number one places on the local nightlife scene.
Rumi's interior is a blend of 70s disco chic with a dash of Zen. The inside of this restro-lounge is done in browns, reds and oranges that gives an earthy feel to the inside. Everything about the venue is designed to the most intimate detail to be peaceful and low-key, including the employees' uniforms.
There is a special VIP room for individuals with the requisite celebrity status or those who are looking for that especially enchanting evening in South Beach. The VIP lounge features a fireplace and hundreds of candles creating an undeniably romantic ambiance. With screens dividing the room from the rest of the restaurant, only shadows can be seen.Famous shadows that have graced these screens include Lenny Kravitz, Christina Aguilera, Pink, Vince Vaughn and Jon Bon Jovi.
The cuisine is a big treat here as well. The cuisine is a singing blend of Caribbean based with French and Spanish influences that mix very well together. Whether you like chicken, fish or steaks - you will find something to rave about.
After dinner, be sure to stop by the lounge area and have an after dinner drink or two to cap off your night in this fabulous location. There's always something tasty and interesting at Rumi, much like its love-poet namesake, Rumi embodies the finer things in life.
