At the Metrozoo you can see some of the most exotic and wonderful creatures that walk the face of the Earth. Witness gorgeous tigers, including rare white tigers in a beautifully landscaped setting. There is also a good deal of elephants that you can study, from the giant African elephant to the majestic Asian elephant. You can also see both American and Cuban alligators, leopards, and witness a fun display by diving ducks.
There are a couple of great gift shops that are open to browse around in. The Toucan Trader is located right near the Metrozoo gates so you can stop by either on your way in or on your way out. There are lots of novelty animal gift items here such as toys and t-shirts. The Aviary Store is a nice place where you can find animal related gift items as well as great gifts related to unique and exotic birds.
The educational Miami Metrozoo is open 365 days of the year for your visiting pleasure. Convenient park hours are from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm so you can get in to see everything that you wish. Admission prices are $11.50 for adults, $10.50 for seniors, $6.75 for children ages 3 through 12, and children 2 and under get in for free. There are also several mobility options that are available for rent for your convenience. You can rent wheelchairs as well as strollers and wagons for your kids.
