See the Heartland of America Park on Your Next Visit to Omaha
If you're going to be visiting Omaha in the near future, make the Heartland of America Park a definite stop on your vacation.
In the middle of downtown Omaha, situated along the riverfront, is a beautiful 31-acre park. You can walk down various pathways of this supremely landscaped facility. You will completely forget you're downtown. The serene beauty of this venue will take you away to a relaxing place.
There are two water fountains located in the park. The Heartland of America fountain is a computerized creation that shoots water over 300-feet into the air and at night, displays a colored light show.
If you want to do a little more sightseeing from the water, take a tour boat ride on the General Marion, the ride is only a quarter and you can see the park from a different point of view.
Should you be visiting the park on a Friday night from June through August, you will be treated to a free, live music show. Otherwise, the park is open daily from 5AM to midnight.
The park is located at 800 Douglas Street and best of all admission is free!
