Charleston is a place to shop, eat, and socialize. One of the best places downtown to do all of these things is at the Charleston Place hotel.
You do not need to be a guest at the Charleston Place to appreciate everything it has to offer. The lobby is full of specialty shops where you can purchase fine chocolates, women’s and men’s clothing, and great smelling perfume. After shopping you can sit in the Thoroughbred Club located by the grand staircase admiring all of your latest purchases, listening to the piano player in the background and be served fine coffee or other beverages as well as appetizers. The Thoroughbred Club is open seven days a week from 11am to midnight. This is also the perfect place to people watch and have pleasant conversation with traveling buddies or locals who are always willing to strike up a conversation with you.
The Charleston Place is located at 205 Meeting Street right in the middle of downtown Charleston. On top of shopping, the Charleston Place hotel also offers a world class spa. There are a few restaurant located in the hotel including the Charleston Grill and the Palmetto Café. The grill offers romantic lighting and a super selection of wine. First seating is at 6pm.
