While you are at the Thomas Wolfe Memorial, you are encouraged to stop by the Visitor Center. This modern facility, which is located right behind the historical boarding house, is filled with interesting exhibits that you are sure to enjoy! There are personal effects that once belonged to the Thomas Wolfe family, items from the stonecutting shop of his father and so much more.

You can embark on a guided tour that will give you all kinds of great information as well as show you different things both in and around the boarding house. If you would like, there is also a wonderful audio-visual program that is available to give you all kinds of information about Thomas Wolfe, the famous author.
The hours that you may stop by for a visit at the Thomas Wolfe Memorial depend upon the season. April through October, the hours are from 9:00AM until 5:00PM Tuesday through Saturday and 1:00PM until 5:00PM on Sunday. November through March, the hours are from 10:00AM until 4:00PM Tuesday through Saturday and 1:00PM until 4:00PM on Sunday.
