The famous Virginia and Truckee Railroad still makes regular trips to this day. As a matter of fact, the train takes a two and a half mile trip ever single day, making its way from Virginia City to Gold Hill. There are actually construction plans that are now underway that will bring the route of the train even further, approximately fifteen miles further, all the way to the great location of Carson City. This great railroad has even been featured in several different television shows, movies and commercials all throughout the years.
