Visiting The Belle Meade Plantation
If you are looking for a gorgeous place to visit in Nashville, you should schedule a trip to the Belle Meade Plantation. This is a great place to see that was built up by the Harding family to become a plantation of 5,400 acres of splendor along with a thoroughbred horse farm. In about 1953, the Belle Meade Mansion and some of its surrounding buildings were handed over to the Association for the Preservation of Tennessee Antiquities.
For you convenience, you will find brochures regarding the Plantation and its buildings in several languages including French, Japanese, German and Spanish. The grounds and the first floor of the mansion are fully handicapped accessible. If you are looking for a bite to eat during your visit, you are welcome to stop by Martha's, a wonderful restaurant that is located on the Plantation.
The Belle Meade Plantation is located at 5025 Harding Road in Nashville. You can set up daily tours Monday through Saturday from 9:00 AM until 5:00 PM and Sunday from 11:00 AM until 5:00 PM. There are closings on all of the major national holidays. Admission prices are $11 for adults, $10 for seniors, $5 for children ages 6 through 12, and free for children under the age of 6.
