There is a gorgeous little place in the San Antonio, Texas area called the Japanese Tea Gardens. Also known as the Sunken Gardens, the Japanese Tea Gardens are a lovely area that is part of Brackenridge Park. Throughout the year, many festivals, concerts and other activities usually take place at the gardens in the open-air amphitheater
Many people over the years have reserved the Japanese Tea Gardens for a special event such as a wedding, birthday or anniversary party. You are going to want to be sure and bring a camera that is loaded up with film to the gardens as well, because you will be in complete amazement at all of the great picture opportunities you will find.
The Japanese Tea Gardens are open from 8:30 AM until 10:00 PM on a regular basis, and from 9:30 AM until 5:00 PM on Memorial Day and Labor Day. This is such a lovely area, that visitors often find that they want to spend the entire day relaxing amongst the wonderful landscaping and architecture. Best of all, this is a free attraction that is appropriate for your entire family.
