Waldameer Park and Water World
This beautiful complex offers great family fun with 75 rides and slides to make it a great family outing. Admission is free with plenty of available parking. There are many park rides, lives shows, gift, and souvenir shops-that makes it top notch recreational fun for the entire family. Make sure you take the Ferris Wheel early on. From there you can see almost the entire Park and Lake Erie. The view is spectacular. You can also take the L. Ruth Express. This train ride is lengthy, and you'll be able to see most of the park while comfortably sitting down.
Be sure and check the schedule to find out what time the park opens. If you are traveling from abroad, you might have a different frame of reference for your expectations of a park's opening time. The park's activities can be experienced in a four-hour period or so, but there is still plenty of time to spend the rest of the day relaxing in a beautiful and friendly environment. While the park has only one major roller coaster ride, several other rides of distinction make it a memorable experience. There are also any picnic groves surrounded by breathtaking landscapes. This park recognizes the value of an old fashioned family picnic, which of course is as much fun as any attraction the park offers.
