Exhibits include "Awash in Watercolors," "Greek and Roman Crafts: Metalwork, Textiles and Pottery," and "Cityscapes: Visualizing the Built Environment ca. 1500-2000." There are several upcoming exhibitions as well, including "Dressing the Part: Fashion in Art in the Nineteenth and Twentieth Centuries."
Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial at Battle Garden
The Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial at Battle Garden is just one of the many intriguing attractions that Columbia Missouri offers. The site includes a garden and a memorial created to honor the late Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. There is also a public work of art created by Barbara Grygutis, which consists of a semi-circular area of granite steps. People can sit here and memorialize. There are also eight triangular columns that include writings of king.
The Laws Observatory
One of the most intriguing places to see is the Laws Observatory of the University of Missouri Campus. The Laws Observatory lives on the Physics Building roof. The observatory is open to the public on Wednesday evenings.
Les Bourgeois Vineyards Wine Garden Bistro
Columbia also offers Les Bourgeois Vineyards Wine Garden Bistro. This is a combination of a winery, wine garden and bistro. There is lunch and dinner offered as well as many different types of wine to taste. Enjoy it all on a charter bus.
