Charter Bus in Great Falls

If you want to live a little history with your charter bus group, take a trip to Great Falls. Great Falls has a nickname of 'Electric City' because of its numerous dams and power plants.

The great explorers Lewis and Clark were very important to this area. The Lewis and Clark National Historic Trail Interpretive Center features landscape virtually unchanged since their time. Your charter bus group will enjoy a trip to Giant Springs Heritage State Park is a lovely park that preserves one of the largest natural, cold water springs in the world. Flow from the springs supports a state trout hatchery and also qualifies as the shortest river in the world, the Roe River. Your charter bus group will enjoy seeing the waterfalls which may be viewed via an 8 mile paved non-motorized pathway known as "River's Edge Trail".

If your charter bus group would like to check out the art of the area, Paris Gibson Square Museum of Art was named for the founder of Great Falls and originally built in 1895 as a high school. The museum is dedicated to contemporary art in Montana and also houses the Museum Cafe, museum gift shop and a branch of the Montana Wilderness Association.

Another sight your charter bus group will enjoy, is The Cowboys' Museum takes a look at what Montana was like during the days of those rough riding, hard living folks known as "cowboys". The museum is housed in an authentic log cabin with double fireplaces and hitching posts. It is filled with Old West artifacts your charter bus group will enjoy seeing day to day history come to life.

Your charter bus group can explore Great Falls via trolley or there are some great walking tours available to take in the historic sites!

An intriguing stop for your charter bus group is Ulm Pishkun State Park. This historic Buffalo Jump is thought to be the longest in the nation. Many tribes engaged in the practice of cornering herbs of buffalo and then driving them to stampede over cliff sides (buffalo drops). At the bottom of the cliff, the buffalo were collected and used by the tribes.

Come to Great Falls for your next charter bus excursion and see all this fine city has to offer.
