Visit Butte On A Charter Bus
Once your charter bus arrives in Butte, the fastest and most colorful way to learn about Butte is a Trolley Tour. In about two hours, you'll see where the characters, famous folk, working class everyday people, miners and scoundrels lived and worked. Speaking of working class, there is a wonderful statue about the size of the Statue of Liberty called "Our Lady of the Rockies" will give you and your charter bus tour a great view of Butte.
The Arts Chateau Museum is a 26-room, four floor historic mansion built in 1898. It has two ever changing exhibition galleries and one permanent collection gallery. Your charter bus group will enjoy the collection of both new and old artists.
For a little naughty history in Butte's past, have your charter bus stop by the Dumas Brothel Museum. The Dumas was designed and built as a three-level brothel in 1890 and remained active as a brothel until 1982, making it America's longest running house of prostitution. Your charter bus group will be saying,"Oh, if those walls could talk!"
Next stop on your charter bus stop should be Mother Lode Theatre and Orphan Girl Theatres which are the only two remaining grand theaters in Butte. Restorations are almost completed and your charter bus gang can see the theaters as the locals must have seen them all those years ago.
Mai Wah Society Museum, a lesser known fact of Butte is that it once had a very large population of Chinese, and in fact, had an area known as "Chinatown". The Mai Wah Society, Inc. is working to restore some buildings in this historic old district to their original glory.
