During the Civil War, it was raided frequently by Union soldiers for supplies, and today, the place is said to be haunted, because of the many visitors that have reported meeting a ghost!
The site also contains a jail (this is a great photo opportunity for your charter bus gang), a one-room schoolhouse, a log cabin, the Brentsville Union Church, 24 acres of beautiful grounds which include hiking trails and a picnic area.
