Griffith Park
Griffith Park
On a one day tour at Griffith Park there is so much to do and enjoy for all ages. Which brings me to the miniature train ride. Hours of operation are 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays and until 5 p.m. on weekends and holidays. It has served the public in Griffith Park since 1948. Youngsters of all ages enjoy the experience of riding the Freedin Train or the Colnel Griffith on the Griffith Park Southern Railroad. The track stretches over a mile and takes the rider past pony rides, through a lush green meadow, through an old Western town, and past a Native American village.
Griffith Park One Day Tour-- Hollywoodland Girls Camp is located in Griffith Park, nestled between the Hollywood Sign and the Griffith Park Observatory. The camp is designed to provide girls in the Los Angeles area with camping and recreational programs, close to the city in an mountain atmosphere. The staff at Camp Hollywoodland is hard at work planning our Summer Camp programs. We have some great new themes for our campers to experience, as well as our tried-and-true old favorites. We will offer 9 one-week sessions for girls between the ages 6-17, starting the week of June 27.
A one day tour at Griffith Park shouldn't stop females just above the toddler age to teens from spending at least one day at the Hollywoodland Girls Camp. Scheduling a Griffith Park One Day Tour will allow young females 6-17 to join in one of the 9 one week sessions. All sessions begin with Monday morning Check-in and end with Saturday morning Check-out. Camp fees vary based on the program, activities and trip planned: between $185 -$210 per session. Of course the price would be pro-rated for a one day session.
There are other sports and ways to relax while on Griffith Park One Day Tour. Hiking, Horseback Riding, Swimming, Soccer, Tennis and Jogging. On a Griffith Park One Day Tour you will explore the favorite routes for jogging which are Griffith Park Drive from the Los Feliz Boulevard/Riverside Drive entrance, Crystal Springs Drive in Park Center to the Los Angeles Zoo, and Zoo Drive to the Travel Town Museum.
Griffith Park One Day Tour has a yearly calendar of events that starts the middle of March and ends the middle of December. This includes School events, Health and Fitness seminars, March of Dimes, Ronald McDonald House, American Liver Foundation, Muscular Dystrophy and Southern California Stroke Association.
Whatever day is that you choose to visit there is always an exciting and worthwhile event taking place on a Griffith Park One Day Tour.
