This historical automotive museum located in Los Angeles, California, is the long time dream of Robert E. Petersen and his wife Margie. Contributing over $30 million dollars to the Petersen Automotive Museum makes it one of the largest gifts made to any museum in the country.
It is one of the world's largest, most innovative automotive museums.
There are four floors of automotive history, including it's influence to our culture. The visitor can enter this 300,000 square foot and view such exhibits as lifelike dioramas, as well as 150 rare and classic cars, trucks and motorcycles.
You will be treated to exhibition galleries consisting of state-of-the-art race cars, vintage motorcycles, concept cars, celebrity owned and movie used vehicles.
On the third floor one will find the May Family Children's Discovery Center. It is a 6,500 square-foot, hands-on learning center. Teaching children basic scientific principles regarding the automobile's functions. The Sparkletts Truck brings fun and excitement to your young children and toddlers with it's special "Discovery Bottles". The bottles are filled with educational games and puzzles to entertain and educate the child.

The Museum offers you the perfect opportunity to dress up in the goggles, coats, and scarves of the early motoring era. Photographs can be taken in the 1910 Model T for your photo album, providing you with a once in a lifetime memento.
