Dedicated to public education, marine research, and animal rescue and rehabilitation Clearwater Marine Aquarium provides us land based mammals with a glimpse into what life is like in our worlds oceans. Their mission is to educate, providing a better understanding of our planets marine environment.
Some of the "creatures of the deep" that you can observe are Dolphins, Stingrays, and Sea Turtles. Clearwater Marine Aquarium also provides us with valuable information on North American River Otters and our coastal estuaries. The aquarium is also home to the nations most successful stranding response team. Some of the marine animals that have been rescued have become a permanent residents of the aquarium due to permanent disabilities, and or their injuries.
One way to enjoy and take advantage of the educational opportunities offered at Clearwater Marine Aquarium is by having your next birthday party or business gathering at the Aquarium. There are many "distinguished guests" available for these occasions. For example you can have a private Dolphin presentation, or perhaps mingle with the resident Sea Turtles. They are open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission cost are as follows, adults $9.00 children age 3-12 $6.50.
