The Maurice Spertus Institute of Jewish Studies is a large complex of related organizations in the South Loop. Spertus invites people of all ages and backgrounds to explore the multi-faceted Jewish experience.
Spertus celebrates the diversity of all people and their logo is a flame which is accompanied by the phrase or yehi, which is Hebrew for "let there be light" and they are hoping through sharing this wealth of information, everyone will leave the Spertus Museum a little more enlightened.
The Museum welcomes more than 200,000 people each year that take part in creative programming that ranges from the intellectual rigor of formal degree programs to the rich cultural celebrations. Children will love the interactive activities and the true hands on experiences the Museum offers up.

ARTiFACT Center which was created for kids to enjoy learning with their favorite adults in a true hands on environment where touching the exhibits is indeed encouraged.
