Call the museum at 1-800-365-6263 a day or so before and they'll sweep out the caboose, bake a ten-inch cake and give you a place to host your unique party. The $125.00 fee includes daylong admission to the museum for up to twenty people, exclusive use of the caboose and a decorated birthday cake.
Founded in 1959, the Colorado Railroad Museum provides a living record of Colorado's wild and wooly railroad heyday. There are real-life locomotives and to-scale models. Most of the people who work here are volunteers, restoring old trains, leading tours and managing the well-stocked gift shop for the simple love of railroad.
