Hosting one of the world's most comprehensive collections of Western art, the museum is open nearly every day of the year. Currently there is an exhibition guest curated by a Chief of the Cheyenne tribe, Mr Gordon Yellowman. The collection of Cheyenne art, crafts and recordings in the oral tradition make this exhibit both moving and profound.
The Denver Art Museum is home to more than just Western Art, however. There is always a world-class traveling exhibit making its home-on-the-front-range. In recent seasons, Denver art lovers have been able to view Picassos, Rembrandts and Warhols, right here in Colorado. Not a bad deal for a wild west cowtown in the middle of nowhere..
