During your visit to the museum, you can check out the 1923 Hispano Suiza, a Victoria Town Car. This beauty is a 6 cylinder, 6 wheel Model H6A straight from Barcelona, Spain. It has been said that this car has been in many old movies, such as the 1933 film "My Lips Betray". At one point, this car was purchased by D.W. Griffith, a well-known Hollywood director, for $35,000.
If it is shopping that you are in the mood for, the Forney Museum Gift Shop offers fantastic items for all ages. All of the proceeds from items purchased in the Gift Shop go directly to supporting all of the exhibits and activities related to the Forney Museum of Transportation. Here in the gift shop, you can find interesting books, great toys for the kids, items for the railroad buff on your list as well as many famous Franklin Mint Models and various autobilia.
The Forney Museum is located on Brighton Boulevard in Denver. Hours of operation are Monday through Saturday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. The prices for admission are very reasonable too. Adults are $7, Seniors are $6, Youth ages 11 - 15 is $4.50, Children ages 5 - 10 is $3.50, and children under the age of 5 get in absolutely free.
