The detail that went into creating this exquisite hearse is just amazing. You will have to see it in person to truly appreciate the wonderfully hand carved, wooden side panels.
Another awesome and interesting exhibit brings you through the history of Civil War embalming. Follow famous Civil War embalmer, Dr. Thomas Holmes through every step of the old school process of embalming. You will even learn about some of the primitive tools he used to prepare bodies for their final journey.
This is a really cool place to visit to give you a great education about the all of the fascinating aspects that make up the history of the funeral industry. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm and Saturday and Sunday from 12:00 pm until 4:00 pm.
