Chaffin's Barn Dinner Theater, Nashville
Chaffin's is Nashville's oldest dinner theatre. The dinner is served up buffet-style with all the trappings of good Southern cuisine. You can have a great dinner and take in a Broadway-style plays as they have done for over 38 years.
The dinner theater holds nearly 300 people and normally advance tickets are required to be purchased as the shows tend to sell out rather quickly. Admission is very reasonable at $40 for adults, seniors are $38, children 12 and under $20.
The hours of operation are Tues. - Sat. 9 a.m. - 8 p.m. Chaffin's is only closed
Dec. 24 and 25, Thanksgiving, Halloween, July 4, and 1st 2 weeks in January.
The rustic decor that resembles a country barn will automatically make you feel at home and the buffet which opens at 6 PM serves a huge smorgasbord. You can dine on all your favorites from carved beef and baked salmon to veggie casseroles and fresh salads. The desserts occupy tables of their own, set up where the main stage later appears, and run the gamut from fresh strawberry shortcake and pies to build-you-own ice cream sundaes.
After dinner, it's on with the show with no bad seat in this house, diners sit on tiered levels around the stage's perimeter. Your waitstaff are actually actors who not currently appearing in a show - please tip them generously to support their craft.
