You say you have looked for it before but you could not find it? Well, that is because it is located inside Finger Furniture.
Why is it set up in the middle of a furniture store? Well, it is hard to say. That is a bit strange. However, the Houston Sports Museum is built around the old stadium home plate of the Houston Buffalo baseball team. The Houston Buffs were a part of the old Texas League and they played all of their home games on the very site the Museum is located on. It explains it a little bit more, but if you are still scratching your head, that is normal.
Whether it is located in a furniture store or not, this place is home to some really cool stuff. You can find exhibits that include memorabilia from the Rockets, Comets and even the Oilers and Aeros. There is even a really special exhibit that follows the amazing history of the Houston Buffs transformation into the Houston Astros. Talk about your amazing walk through Houston sports history. These are certainly some displays that you will not soon forget.
Admission is completely free at the Houston Sports Museum, so this makes for a great place to go visit with friends or your entire family. The location in the downtown area, is easy to get to once you find the Finger Furniture store. Operating hours for the museum are Monday through Saturday from 10:00 am until 9:00 pm and then on Sundays from 12:00 pm until 6:00 pm.
