The Rothko Chapel is conveniently located at the corner of Yupon and Sul Ross smack dab in the center of the Houston museum district. The Chapel is open every single day of the year to cater to the needs of everyone who wishes to stop by. Hours are Saturday through Tuesday from 10:00 am until 6:00 pm and Wednesday through Friday from 10:00 am until 7:00 pm. Of course, admission is completely free and donations are always a welcomed gift.
There is ample street parking available around the chapel making for easy travel along with wheelchair access at the north end of the chapel as well. You are not allowed to bring any bulky items into the chapel such as backpacks or umbrellas. Certainly food and drink is also prohibited along with photography and videotaping. Please respect others as well during your visit and shut your cell phone off.
