Charles Umlauf, a successfull and internationally known sculptor, created works ranging in style from detailed realism to lyrical abstractions during his career. Charles and Angeline Umlauf, in 1985 gave their home and studio with sculptures, drawings and paintings to the Umlauf Sculpture Garden and Museum.
Umlauf used materials from exotic woods, terra cotta and cast stone. He also used bronzes and alabasters and luminous marbles. Umlauf sculpted family groupings particularly mothers and children, playful animals, religious and mythological figures, and sensuous, erotic nudes.
The Umlauf Sculpture Garden and Museum is a quiet and serene place, a reflective experience from beginning to end. You will be winding your way on your tour under a canopy of trees and stroll along paths through the garden and past Umlauf's sculptures. They even have bridges across sparkling stream waters and a water lily pond.
