Peabody Place: A Memphis Cornerstone
If you plan to travel to Memphis, Tennessee you will undoubtedly visit Peabody Place. Located in the heart of downtown Memphis, Peabody Place is known as the cornerstone of the downtown area. Peabody Place is surrounded by many attractions of the Memphis area, such as Beale Street, the Orpheum Theater, AutoZone Park, the FedEx Forum (home of the NBAs Grizzlies), and the Peabody Hotel.
Covering an area totalling 8 city blocks, Peabody Place contains more than two million square feet of sky walks, corridors, and trolley stations. In fall 2001 the Peabody Place Entertainment and Retail Center was completed. This massive center has over 300,000 square feet of retailers space and over 3,000 parking spaces.
