Visiting The Adams Museum and House
No trip to the Black Hills of South Dakota is complete without a stop at the Adams Museum and House. When you visit this place, you can learn all about the legends and pioneers of this amazing area of South Dakota. The museum portion Adams Museum and House was built way back in 1930 and is actually the oldest history museum that you will find anywhere in the Black Hills. The Adams House itself was constructed back in 1892, and is quite a wonderful

It is quite a lovely experience to walk through the Adams Museum and House to learn about all of the rich history and culture that surrounds this region. Guests are welcome to take a tour through the building and see all of the gorgeous furnishings and various items on display.
The Adams Museum and House is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm through the winter months, with closings on all of the major holidays. Summer hours are Monday through Saturday from 9:00 am until 7:00 pm and Sunday from 12:00 noon until 5:00 pm. There is no cost to get into the museum, only a donation is suggested at the door.
