Visiting Gibson Factory in Memphis
While in Memphis, who could pass up Beale Street and the Gibson Factory Showcase. Gibson, maker of world-class quality guitars, has been innovating the music world for over 100 years. Open 7 days a week the Gibson Factory is a must see attraction in Tennessee for music lovers and sight-seers.
Besides the gallery of guitars, at the Gibson Factory, you will be able to see various luthier's processes including binding, neck-fitting, painting, buffing and tuning. If you are more than just a voyeur of the guitar making world, after the making you can also hear them being played, or even purchase one of many Gibson and Epiphone stringed instruments or other merchandise at the gift shop. After the factory tour you can stop at The Lounge for great music and delicious entrees, or check out the Memphis Rock n' Soul Museum which is located in the same building.

The tour at the Gibson Factory is approximately 45 minutes long and costs about $10 to see, unfortunately no one under 12 is admitted.
