Construction of this park began back in 1983, not to be finished until nearly a decade later. Now, this is a wonderful place that is just perfect for a visit by your entire family or sightseeing group.
The Charleston Waterfront Park is made up of approximately 12 gorgeous acres that run along the salt water marshes of the well-known Cooper River. Not only is this quite a lovely place to view, it is also a great spot to enjoy some wonderful relaxation while taking a break from all of your other sightseeing stops. The walking areas are all shaded by trees and the seating areas provide a nice way to stop and enjoy the area.
During your visit to Charleston Waterfront park, you can walk along the wharf and fishing pier or hang out on the well landscaped lawns. The formal garden areas are quite beautiful, with many people stopping from time to time just to snap a few pictures. People are often quite impressed with the amount of wonderful flowers and plants throughout the park. There are actually over 5,000 flowers and hundreds of wonderful large trees.
