The Hershey Museum
For a great learning experience during your trip to Hershey, Pennsylvania, you should set aside some time so that you may visit the Hershey Museum. Here at the museum, you can learn all about Milton Hershey and all of the great history of the town as well. Adults and children alike are sure to enjoy all of the interesting and educational exhibits you can view at the museum as well as the fun and unique artifacts that are on display.
One wonderful exhibit is called Built On Chocolate. This area explains to visitors just how Milton Hershey took his vision and ended up building the town of Hershey, Pennsylvania. Just imagine what it would have been like so many years ago to grow up in a town that was in a sense being built with chocolate!
Another cool exhibit is called Making Chocolate In Hershey. This is where you can learn all about the chocolate making procedure from days gone by. During the exhibit, you will hear testimonials from workers who actually were employed by the Hershey factory in the 1930s. There is even an antique piece of chocolate machinery that you can learn about and even watch it in action.
The hours that you may stop by to explore the Hershey Museum are from 10:00AM until 5:00PM daily. During the period between Memorial Day and Labor Day the hours are extended one hour until 6:00PM. Be sure that when you visit that you stop by to browse through the items in the Hershey Museum Store where there are all kinds of great Hershey area items and memorabilia for sale.
