Go Wild at the Red River Zoo
On your next outing to Fargo, North Dakota; Make the Red River Zoo one of your destinations.
Originally a modest eight acres when it opened in 1998, the original zoo was built on the land known as the Red River Ranch. It had a humble seven trees and a small number of dilapidated old farmhouses. The area has been completely transformed into a beautifully landscaped area with naturally created habitats for the zoo's over 300 resident animals that represent 75 different species at the Red River Zoo. Many of these animals are endangered species.
The Red River Zoo will reopen this spring as a bigger, better, even more modern zoo than ever before. Whether you have kids or just big kids at heart along for the ride on your charter bus, everyone will enjoy this afternoon visit. There is even a carousel for the kids to ride.
The Red River Zoo is open daily from 10AM to 8PM 7 days a week through Labor Day. The zoo reopens April 29th. After Labor Day it is considered "Off Season" and the off-season hours are from Friday- Sunday 12 noon until 4PM weather permitting. Admission to this venue is only $5.50 - Adults, $4.50 for Seniors over 60yrs, $3.50 for Children 2-14yrs and Children under 2 are always free.
