If you have little ones under the age of 5, they will get a real kick out of the Desert Discovery Center where they can put on hard hats and pretend to mine. Sending their soft sculpture "boulders" up by a hand crank system. Cactus Construction is another fun area for the little ones where they can pretend play on a construction site made just for kids. Desert in the Dark is another fun learning quest where little ones can learn that not all creatures go to bed when it is dark. Stepping through a child-sized door beneath the magic day-night clock, children find themselves outside in the desert after dark and will learn about all the wildlife that calls the desert their home before and after dark, it is a fun and non-threatening excursion that even little ones who are a little edgy about darkened rooms will enjoy.
For the littlest travelers with you, there is even something for them to enjoy. Baby Oasis is a cozy space filled with stimulating items for babies to manipulate and explore with their hands, eyes, and ears. No matter what their ages, your children will be delighted with this stop on your next trip to Vegas.
