This all white structure has an ever-changing collection of exhibits that showcase art styles from the sometimes strange modern contemporary to pop art to fine art. Local, regional and nationally known artists are showcased at this venue. The museum's goal is to show the connection between the creation of art and everyday life. In 2002 the museum became an affiliate of the Smithsonian, furthering this institution's prestige.
The hours of operation for the Art Museum are Tuesday-Saturday 10Am-5PM and Sunday 1PM to 5PM. Admission the Art Museum is just $6 for adults, $5 for seniors and students can get in for $3 if they show their valid ID. Children under 12 are always admitted for free! The Museum accepts Visa. Master Card, Discover, American Express.
After viewing the exhibitions, the Museum store is a fabulous place to pick up souvenirs for the folks back home. The gift shop has a huge selection of unique items that make fantastic gifts.
