See Sand Harbor in Lake Tahoe
Sand Harbor is the most popular area in Lake Tahoe-Nevada State Park. Sand Harbor is located off of Highway 28, in the State Park at Incline Village. If you need more information, you can contact the Lake Tahoe Nevada State Park main office at 775-831-0494.
Sand Harbor features include a boat launch, sandy beaches, picnicking, and group facilities. Rocky coves and boulders to jump off of are primary features at Sand Harbor. There are also trails, fishing, water sports, and nature studies to enjoy here.
There is an entrance fee to enter the park, and current fees are posted at the park entrance. For this nominal fee, your group will enjoy long beaches, panoramic lake views, and unequalled opportunities to enjoy Lake Tahoe. The beaches slope gently, and the water is crystal clear, with interesting rock formations that make swimming and SCUBA diving ideal here at Sand Harbor.
Picnic sites are located within the shade of the numerous trees and offer a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of the beaches. Each site has a barbeque and picnic table available for guests to use, and paved walkways make the area accessible to people with disabilities. It's simply a great area to take a break during a long and exciting day of water fun. After that break, you can hit the Sand Point Nature Trail that is a short 1/3 of a mile, and is handicap accessible as well. There is a group use area available that us covered and fully equipped, for use by reservation only. If you've chartered a large group on your tour bus, be sure to make advance reservations for your group.
