Well, when you are visiting Concord, you can actually make plans for your very own visit to one of the beautiful homes that he used to own called Pierce Manse, located right on 14 Penacook Street. This is a stunning home built in the Greek Revival style that is a wonder to see whether you are a history fanatic or an architectural buff.
The beautiful building of Pierce Manse was the family home to the former President from the years of 1842 until 1848. He resided there with his wife and two children during that time and it is still filled to this day with some of the furniture that they used. Visitors to Pierce Manse are able to view such furniture and decor, which even includes a portrait of their son Franky who had passed away.
If you would like to make your own trip to Pierce Manse, you may be delighted that you are able to take a wonderful and informational tour of the building. The hours that you may stop by are from Monday through Friday from the hours of 11:00AM until 3:00PM, with regular closings on all of the major national holidays. The cost of admission is only $3 for adults and $1 for children and students.
