When you are traveling through Gettysburg with children, there happens to be an incredible stop located right on 20 East High Street. This is not only a beautiful building that was built way back in the 1860s, but it is also a location that has all sorts of creative and fun ways for children to interact and have a wonderful time. Children of all ages are welcome to stop by with their parents and siblings. Many of the activities and exhibits are just right for kids between the ages of 3 and 8.
On the premises children and their families will find several different areas including the Exploration Room, Art Room, Construction Zone, Nature Area and the 1860s Room. Kids usually enjoy all of the great hands-on experiences that will give them fabulous memories and opportunities to interact with other children their age. Perhaps your child will want to create something exceptional in the art room with paint, glue, pipe cleaners, sculpture dough and more! Let them explore this great building and come up with all sorts of wonderful ideas along the way.
The cost of admission is only $6 for children ages 2 through 14 and $4 for adults. During the winter months, the hours are from 10:00AM until 5:00PM Monday through Saturday and Sunday from Noon until 5:00PM with regular closings on Wednesdays. During the summer months, the facilities are open from 10:00AM until 5:00PM from Monday through Saturday with closings on Sundays.
