It could be the current strenuous lifestyle these days but I suddenly remembered a bus tour trip to
Boston Massachusetts a couple of summers back. I remember very clearly a bus tour stop at
Boston Common, America’s oldest park at the epicenter of Boston MA! Aahhh….the serenity of it all! The grand-looking but oddly medium-sized monuments we passed along in the tour bus and while walking around. There’s a lot of history there that you can’t miss even if you tried really hard – especially the park about Boston Common being the beginning of the Freedom Trail. Quiet, romantic, enjoyable and sometimes a little chaotic during peak hours, this Boston MA bus tour attractions sits right there on top of my favorite spots to visit by bus tour!
Boston Common is known for its Frog Pond which doubles up as an ice-skating rink during colder climate. It is indeed an extremely beautiful Boston MA park irregardless of weather, month or day of the year. Back in my younger days, Boston Common was popular for all the wrong reasons but they’ve really cleaned the Boston Common up pretty well. Now, it’s one of the most popular bus tour attractions in Boston MA. I feel inclined to note that I love their landscaping as well.
But the beauty of a bus tour visit to Boston Common is that there’s all types of people there…literally from all walks of life. Which means to say that when you make a bus tour stop here, you’ll be doing quite a fair bit of people-watching! Either you can stroll along the park, laze in the grass and take your shoes off, play catch with the kids or walk around Beacon Hill…it will be an amazing time. I stopped by the Civil War Monument for the 56th Massachusetts and had a great time learning INTRICATE details of that part of American history.
If you’re not the kind with a stomach for history and monuments and all that…it’s still great fun stopping the Boston tour bus here – just let your hair down, take your shoes off, splash around like a kid and be absolutely silly. Which is, of course, what I did. And I guess that’s why I started missing my bus tour stop in Boston Common so much.
